The new BMW i8 will make its Lancashire debut at a VIP launch at Bowker BMW on the docks in Preston on Friday 18th July.
The plug-in hybrid BMW i8 sports car will be the first car launch since Bowker BMW’s new £1.5 million refurbished showroom was opened. And the i8 follows the i3, launched last year in November, as the second electric BMW launch since Bowker was confirmed as Lancashire’s first and only BMW electric car dealership.
The glittering launch will feature a collection of classic and M Power BMWs celebrating the prestige car brands’ past, present and future. Drinks and canapes will be served by award-winning mixologist Bevan Middleton while Lytham-based classical? guitarist James Edgar entertains.
Bowker BMW Preston managing director Tom Fox said,

Bowker BMW on the docks in Preston has opened its new expanded and refurbished dealership last weekend. The two-phase development, announced last August, has delivered additional showroom capacity to accommodate 16 more cars and 34 in total. The investment has also created a further five new jobs.
In May 2013, Bowker Preston was announced as one of only 46 UK sales agents that will supply and support BMW i, BMW’s revolutionary new sub-brand featuring electric drive systems and premium mobility services.The first production BMW electric car – the fully-electric BMW i3 megacity vehicle – went on sale in November.
